Wrap Film Systems announces BacoFoil acquisition

Baco Consumer Products, manufacturers of the UK’s leading BacoFoil Brand and the Baco range of food bags, waste bags and containers, has been bought by Wrap Film Systems for an undisclosed sum.

Wrap Film Systems is the leading cling film and foil supplier to the catering and hospitality industries. It is owned by private equity firm Growth Capital Partners.

Adrian Brown, MD, Wrap Film Systems says, “This major acquisition brings together the UK’s two strongest foil and film brands, Wrapmaster and Baco, providing Wrap Film Systems with a much stronger UK retail presence.”

BacoFoil has been a British household name since the 1960s, and this move brings ownership of the Baco business back to the UK.

Wrap Film Systems is at the cutting edge of foil and film dispensing, with the award winning Wrapmaster refillable dispenser and the UK’s first domestic refillable cling film dispenser recently launched under the ‘Benedetti’ brand name. This is an exciting period in Wrap Film Systems history.  The combined business is well placed to deliver growth to the wraps & liners category.
Over the coming months, all current Baco activities will move into Wrap Film Systems’ Head Quarters and modern manufacturing facility in Telford, Shropshire.

Customers should continue to place orders with their sales contacts as usual.

Baco’s General Manager – Mario Martinez has joined the WFS senior management team to head up the combined businesses Retail division.
